CrabsBed
Public codeCrabsBed is an embedded-C++ firmware development project with controller logic, MIDI output, and a virtual breadboard for prototype tests. Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone-AI are hardware targets; the source available here should not be read as proof of shipped board deployments.

Design & implementation
Controller logic and device models
Unicontroller source polls inputs, debounces them, and emits MIDI bytes. The virtual breadboard models shift registers, GPIO, and rotary encoders. Hardware-backend operation needs board-specific verification.
Test without the hardware
The repository includes controller tests using the virtual breadboard. This allows software-side prototyping without a microcontroller, while physical timing and electrical behavior still require hardware tests.
MIDI, DMX, and hardware controllers
MIDI output and controller source are part of the project. DMX and other device interfaces are intended applications, including the Freedom Voting Machine input surface.
Absorbed the useful mbed
CrabsBed reuses and absorbs the useful HAL, driver, and RTOS pieces of the old mbed source tree rather than starting from scratch.
